The calendar may be inaccurate during holidays, when it counts the most. Which sucks. "Holiday closure" at the beginning of an entry title means that program is cancelled on that day, due to the holiday. Please leave a comment below if you have any updates. Even if it's to update the verification date of a listing. Those verification dates are the only indication of reliability.
Calendar's bullshit during xmas... here's the TDIN holiday meal list:

Sure could use some updating. At closest convenience review add subtract tables to current availabilities. Thank-you.
DeleteEmmanuel hall is 1300 to 1400. Not what's posted
DeleteThank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (updates the calendar and posts the news) thank you so much!!!
ReplyDelete40 OAK has breakfast 9-10 MON WED FRI only
ReplyDeletelunch 12-1 MON TUE THUR FRI
SUN lunch served by friendly Muslims starts at 11:30
dinner SAT only at 5 is very busy
Details: best free meal in Toronto. They never serve seconds
Yeah but didn't they restrict it to people who are staying at 40 oak?
DeleteNo, it's for everyone; no questions asked
DeleteK so what's the end times for the sunday lunch and the saturday dinners?
DeleteWhats the deal with Sun, 13 March, 12:00 – 15:00
ReplyDeleteAllan Garden Lunch, is it one-time event?
Nope, it's every sunday, and they hand out clothing too.
DeletePretty sure this calendar does not reflect all the places serving lunch...but I can at least verify CONC does lunch Monday-Thursday from 12-1, Sunday 1-2. And anyone can pick up a bagged lunch on Friday between 9-12. Hope that helps to keep this calendar accurate.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWait a minute... you mean CONC at their Salvation Army Dovercourt location? Or did they move back into their own actual place?
DeleteI used to go to Council Fire when they served Mon to Thur. Now they have three times a week and meal served after a movie. Im not going to watch Home Alone or Edward Scissorhands on empty stomach and pretend I'm interested
ReplyDeleteThat's a great point ..movie after :))
Delete519 was the only place I got food poisoning from when they served to anybody, not just to LGBT.
ReplyDeleteThe meals schedule doesn't reflect youth. Renovated YMCA at Queen W and Spadina, Covenant house and Yonge street mission Evergreen at Gerrard and Yonge
Theres dinner at 270 Gerrard Tue and Thur at 5
ReplyDeleteAdults anyone
DeleteHow late do they serve til?
DeleteSt. Bartholomew's Anglican Church hosts breakfast every Thur at 6 or 6:45AM my bad I forgot what time exactly. located at 509 Dundas St E. my neighbor says food is great, always seconds and one of very few places in Toronto to get Fried eggs. must be nice change after boiled blue eggs at Shepherd
ReplyDeletebreakfast at 6:30AM confirmed Thur only
DeleteSt. Luke's 353 Sherbourne Tue only dinner at 5PM
DeleteWas served a moldy brownie at Shepherd this morning. Watch what you eat folks
ReplyDeleteI have had food poisoning three times from going to good Sheppard
ReplyDeleteShepherd canceled breakfast. Easter lunch at Noon
ReplyDeleteGood Shepherd is doing damn good job!
ReplyDeleteif you go to Good Shepherd, watch out for and report the line-cutters as soon as you can. I've seen a tall ugly fat First Nations man with sunglasses and bandanna, who habitually line cut, and a red-headed fat pony-tailed white man who likes to line cut.
ReplyDeleteLAWYERS FEED THE HUNGRY DINNER DAYS HAS CHANGED. It is now on Tuesday and NOT on Fridays anymore.
ReplyDeleteYeah no more friday dinners, now it's Tuesday and Wednesday.
DeleteIs the current listing correct?
DeleteThe Fort York serves horrible food on a consistent basis This past Friday they served white rice plain potatoes no flavour and two tiny sausages and a few pieces of lettuce but trust me this happens day after day Im better off bin diving
ReplyDeleteAlso I consistently see the people serving the food loading up there bags behind the serving counter with all kinds of good food fucking theirs if you ask me
Good Shepherd has Turkey dinner at 12 this coming Monday 10th. last year it was a feast and very busy. you can pick up take-out at 3pm. no breakfast
ReplyDeleteGood Shepherd, the ONLY truly reliable place to go, has been removed from this list. 09:00-11:00 breakfast and 14:00-16:00 lunch unless Thanksgiving or Christmas day, then its 13:00-14:30.
ReplyDeleteI was in Dare program at Good Shepherd, and I don't feel like coming back after. except for Thanksgiving Christmas. When on days when its chicken soup and mac and cheese and stale bread DARE people and employees feast on steak, have selection of fish, chicken and beef and cake every day. and they treat homeless like zombies
DeleteK it's back on the list
ReplyDeleteSad truth is that meal quality is poor across Toronto unless you are enrolled in detox, pre-treatment or treatment programs...
ReplyDeleteSt.Steven's House has lunch MON to FRI 10:00 to 11:30
ReplyDeleteAlso the elevator at Sanctuary is constantly busted, they don't have enough money to keep repairs going on all the time, have been told by staff also that it also needs replacing.
ReplyDeleteToronto good Shepard, is way better than the one in Hamilton, I grew up in Hamilton, absolutely crap, slop days outnumbered decent food days.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a way to find out which places are wheelchair accessible, without having to call each one, leave messages & never get called back.
That's a really good point about accessibility! I've found that most of these places are better with email than phone. Maybe try that. And please do post your findings here, it'd help the process of getting accessibility notes on the different places.
DeleteAn Average replacement cost for a typical elevator is about $80,000 from https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-average-cost-of-an-elevator
ReplyDeleteFort York Food Bank has temporarily suspended its meals service while it completes its move to its new location at 380 College St. (see http://fyfb.com/location.asp).
ReplyDeleteYou can verify the above by calling them at 416 203-3011. Please update.

ReplyDeleteIts in all formats and you can download as well as print them.
What's going on with the university settlement schedule ?
ReplyDeleteLast time I tried to get dinner at the Grange (approx a month ago) I was told they weren't doing open dinners, only feeding people who were staying the night there. Not sure how recent or how long this is happening, maybe just for the winter but I seemed to be the only person there who was unaware - even though the shelter intake on peter street are the ones who sent me there.
ReplyDeleteAs Per: Wychwood Lunch and the Location: I am at the Meal Program right now: 12:00 Monday, January 14, 2019, and the Lunch Time is @1PM, as verified by the Drop-in staff in the Basement of 729 St. Clair Ave W.
ReplyDeleteThank you! So... is it 1pm - 2pm? And is it still mondays wednesdays and fridays? and is the timing the same on all the days? and what's the food like??? thanks again
Deleteit's there place for 9pm?
ReplyDeleteWe went to Grange Park Dinner, Sun, October 27, 6:30pm – 7:30pm ... and the centre was closed! So we went to St. Stephens in the Field Church Dinner, 7:00pm and they told us it started at 6:30pm and they were out of food. Strike two! We both went home hungry. I hope your irresponsible webmaster ate well tonight. What's the point of having this webpage if you can't keep it up-to-date?
ReplyDeleteGrange Park seems very erratic, in my experience. I have only eaten there when literally led by hand by other street people. When I have shown up based on online listings (this is the best one available, just to say!) I have had Grange turn me away saying there is no dinner or that it is only for people sleeping there. I have no idea what their serving schedule is now, if it even exists, but their listings should probably make it clear that they seem to change things up more often than most.
DeleteSt Lukes dinner on Tuesdays starts at 6pm, not 5pm.
ReplyDeletebut I did just held carry their food in and the tables are set up so you can call that verified info for now
